Stop GPS when I turn it off
Off (default) — speed-camera and POI proximity alerts keep firing in the background even after you turn the in-app GPS off. Drains roughly 3–5 % battery per hour while the device is otherwise idle.
On — turning off the GPS in the map stops the background watcher completely. No background alerts, but no GPS drain either.
What's running — the app uses your phone's native
GPS via a background service. While active, your operating
system shows a disclosure: on Android a persistent
notification, on iOS the blue bar / orange dot at the top of
the screen. The setting above only changes when that
service stops, not whether you're informed.
